Six days pairing the tropical beaches of Malindi and Watamu with the dramatic volcanic landscapes and abundant wildlife of both Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks.
Met on arrival and transferred to your beachfront resort in Malindi or Watamu. Settle in with a welcome drink and spend the rest of the day at leisure by the pool or along the shore, with a seafood dinner to close the evening.
Overnight: Malindi / Watamu Beach ResortA free day for the beach or an optional excursion — Watamu Marine National Park for snorkelling and dolphin watching, the Gede Ruins and Vasco da Gama Pillar, a guided walk through Arabuko Sokoke Forest, or a sunset visit to Hell's Kitchen in Marafa.
Overnight: Malindi / Watamu Beach ResortHead inland by 4x4 to the volcanic landscapes of Tsavo West. After an introductory game drive and lunch at the lodge, the afternoon centres on Mzima Springs — a walk along the shaded trail to the underwater viewing observatory to see hippos, crocodiles and fish in the clear spring water, closing with sunset over the volcanic hills.
Overnight: Tsavo West Safari Lodge / Tented CampA morning game drive on the way out of Tsavo West, continuing into Tsavo East's open red-earth savannah — prime territory for the park's famous red elephants alongside lion, giraffe, zebra, cheetah and buffalo. After lunch and a siesta, an afternoon game drive around the Galana River and Aruba Dam closes with sunset over the wilderness.
Overnight: Tsavo East Safari Lodge / Tented CampAn early dawn game drive for the best predator sightings, then breakfast, check-out and a final game-viewing drive to the gates before heading back to the coast for lunch and a relaxed farewell dinner at the resort.
Overnight: Malindi / Watamu Beach ResortA final leisurely breakfast and some time on the beach or picking up Swahili handicrafts before your private transfer to the airport or station for your onward journey.
