Kenya Private Safari — Samburu, Aberdare, Nakuru & the Maasai Mara

Day by Day

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Nairobi

   Met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by your private driver-guide and transferred to your Nairobi hotel to rest and recover from the flight.

   Overnight: Nairobi
2. Day 2

   Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

   An early pick-up after breakfast for the drive north to Samburu (approx. 5–5.5 hours), with a rest and lunch stop en route. Check in to your lodge, then head out on an afternoon game drive in search of Samburu's 'Special Five'.

   Overnight: Samburu
3. Day 3

   Samburu to Aberdare National Park

   Check out after breakfast and transfer to Aberdare (approx. 4.5 hours), checking in to a famous tree lodge overlooking a waterhole. Spend the day watching elephants, rhino and other wildlife visit the waterhole by day and by floodlight after dark.

4. Day 4

   Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park

   A final morning at the waterhole before breakfast and check-out. Drive to Lake Nakuru (approx. 2.5 hours) for an afternoon game drive in search of rhino, flamingos, waterbuck and the park's abundant birdlife.

   Overnight: Lake Nakuru
5. Day 5

   Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

   A short drive (around 40 minutes) to Lake Naivasha after breakfast. Check in to your lakeside lodge, with an optional afternoon boat cruise to see hippos and water birds.

   Overnight: Lake Naivasha
6. Day 6

   Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve

   An early breakfast and check-out for the drive to the Maasai Mara (approx. 4 hours), with a rest and lunch stop en route. Check in to your tented camp, then head out on an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five and classic savannah wildlife.

   Overnight: Maasai Mara
7. Day 7

   Full Day in the Maasai Mara

   A full day exploring different areas of the reserve, with an optional sunrise game drive and an optional Maasai village visit in the afternoon.

8. Day 8

   Maasai Mara to Nairobi — Departure

   Breakfast at camp, check-out and the drive back to Nairobi (approx. 4.5–5 hours) for your international flight departure.
